Great day with The University of Oxford Science Department. Set up with a Bunsen burner in the gardens and made some beautiful yellow pigments from horse chestnut leaves foraged en route. I did feel like a kid in a sweet shop though with all those exquisite plants everywhere. The Director did mention they have a selection of dye plants in their ‘plants that have changed the world’ section. A mass brew-up & pigment-make there perhaps?……
